Cuban Revolution

The Cuban Revolution was the overthrow of Fulgencio Batista’s government by the 26th of July Movement, led by Fidel Castro, culminating in January 1959. It established the first socialist state in the Western Hemisphere and became a defining event of Cold War Latin America.
